Product Specialist

Company: Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Position: Product Specialist Overview The Product Specialist is a member of the Federal Reserve System’s Financial Support Office, contributing to product management within the Banking Information, Technology, and Operations division. The role focuses on user experience, requirement analysis, and the translation of the Product Manager’s vision into actionable stories. Responsibilities Collaborate with the Product Squad to solve the right customer problems, providing market research and competitive analysis. Work with the Product Manager to define product strategy, direction, and backlog priorities. Research and develop use cases for new system enhancements and recommend strategic initiatives. Prioritize the product backlog based on the roadmap and ensure user stories are ready for development, including acceptance criteria and definition of done. Test changes developed by the Product Squad and support sign‑off for production deployment. Conduct user training sessions and partner with product marketing/communications to develop training strategy and materials. Demonstrate the business value of product features to stakeholders. Participate in effective team retrospectives and collaborate with dependent teams. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least five years of experience in technology product management, business line industry knowledge, or related technology delivery. Specialized understanding of the business line industry and of technology delivery or product management. Knowledge of applicable software development life cycle methodologies (e.g., Agile/SCRUM). Compensation Salary range: $130,300.00 – $195,500.00. Final offer will consider applicant’s background, skills, internal equity, and market data. Additional Information All applicants must comply with the Bank’s ethics rules, which prohibit employees and certain family members from owning financial interests in banks, savings associations, or systemically important financial institutions.
