Location: Avera Therapy – Plaza 5 – Sioux Falls Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Day Shift (United States of America) Pay Range: The pay range for this position is listed below. Actual pay rate dependent upon experience. $30.75 - $53.75 Position Highlights Physical Therapist: $39.05 - $59.12 Occupational Therapist: $33.83 - $50.87 Applicants must be licensed Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist in South Dakota with a preference for those having lymphedema experience. Avera will cover costs to become lymphedema certified. $15,000 sign‑on bonus eligible with a 3‑year commitment. Student Loan Repayment Program: The company may contribute $167 per month (up to $10,000) toward your student loan principal balance. A Brief Overview The role is responsible for the daily coordination and delivery of physical therapy services, implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients and patient groups, in accordance with the principles and practices of physical therapy and the established objectives of the department. What you will do Evaluate assigned patients, gathering data from patient records, interviews, observations, and team members. Develop and implement individualized treatment programs for patients needing services. Use selected activities and tasks to promote and maintain health, achieve treatment goals, and modify intervention strategies based on ongoing evaluation. Provide direct therapy services in various functional settings, planning therapy within the patient’s physical, emotional, and intellectual capabilities and coordinating with rehabilitation, medical, and nursing care plans. Prepare documentation required by the profession and the department, including evaluation results, treatment plans, progress notes, and other reports. Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other team members regarding status, progress, and needs. Establish rapport and work cooperatively with interdisciplinary team members throughout the patient’s intervention program. Enhance professional growth through participation in educational programs, current literature, in‑service meetings, and workshops. Essential Qualifications Must be able to work the specified hours and perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Visual acuity adequate to perform duties and effective communication are required. Required Education, License / Certification, or Work Experience Physical Therapist – Licensing Board: an active license in the state of practice. Preferred Education, License / Certification, or Work Experience 1‑3 years of experience as a licensed physical therapist.
