Job Summary We are looking for a Data Analyst Intern to support data analytics, data cleansing, dashboard reporting, and data and program quality review while gaining hands-on experience turning data into meaningful insights. Job Description We are looking for a Data Analyst Intern to assist with data analytics, data cleansing, dashboard reporting, and data and program quality review. This position will be a full-time internship and remote . The internship dates are June 7, 2027 through August 6, 202 This internship is a full-time opportunity requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week . Candidates must be available during core business hours ( 8:30 a.m. EST to 5:00 p.m. EST ) for the entire 9-week duration of the program. Please note that all work must be performed within the United States. This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship now or in the future. What You'll Do Gain real-world work experience in a corporate environment Gain in-demand technical and business skills and critical competencies Gain exposure to CAI's diverse and inclusive culture Collaborate with other interns on a community outreach project Gain exposure to CAI's leaders through the Executive Connections Program Participate in interactive, social events Assist with data analytics and reporting in various health and human services program areas such as behavioral health, child welfare, and child support Conduct research related to thought leadership, data analytics, and general business functions Organize tasks in a logical and cohesive manner Apply an understanding of social services and family support activities when applicable Write professional communications and documentation Work independently with guidance from senior staff Participate in public speaking opportunities Participate in HHS events throughout the internship What You'll Need Required: Current Junior pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Health Informatics, Economics, or a related field Coursework or project experience involving data analysis, statistics, or research methods Current Junior with a 3.5 GPA or higher Working knowledge of general office equipment such as a PC, mouse, keyboard, and monitor High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience using Excel functions and features, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and formula-based data cleaning Working knowledge of SQL for querying and joining relational data, including SELECT statements, filtering, and aggregating Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau for building dashboards and visualizations Comfort working with large or complex datasets, including basic data cleaning and validation techniques Basic understanding of data structures, including rows, columns, keys, and tables, and how data flows between systems Ability to translate raw data into clear and accurate summaries, charts, and dashboards for non-technical audiences Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy Ability to identify trends, outliers, and data quality issues and flag them appropriately Interest in or aptitude for performance metrics, KPIs, and program reporting Strong communication skills Strong problem-solving skills Ability to effectively multitask Excellent time management skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Preferred: Prior internship, work-study, or academic project experience with data cleaning, analysis, or reporting Understanding of social services and family support activities Experience with public speaking Physical Demands Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor Reasonable accommodation statement If you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employment selection process, please direct your inquiries to View email address on click.appcast.io or View phone number on click.appcast.io.
