Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician
The Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of food processing and packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role combines strong electrical expertise with mechanical maintenance to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated systems. The position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime while ensuring compliance with food safety (SQF/HACCP) and safety standards.

Requirements of the Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician

• 5–7+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment
• Must have formal electrical training OR extensive hands-on experience as an electrician in a food manufacturing plant
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including 480V 3-phase power distribution
• Experience reading electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical blueprints
• Working knowledge of PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) for troubleshooting
• Experience with mechanical systems (conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics)
• Knowledge of GMPs, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and general safety standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to urgent production needs

Responsibilities of the Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician

• Troubleshoot, install, and repair electrical components, including motors, VFDs, sensors, relays, and control panels
• Perform basic PLC diagnostics and programming adjustments to resolve equipment issues
• Maintain and repair mechanical systems, including conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
• Execute preventive maintenance and document work in the CMMS system
• Support plant utilities such as air compressors, boilers, and cooling systems
• Ensure all maintenance activities follow GMP and food safety standards
• Respond quickly to equipment failures to minimize downtime and support production goals
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and support continuous improvement efforts

Pay is $40.00 - $50.00 hourly, based on experience
