Lineman-NY

Position: Lineman – Underground/Aerial Construction Division Responsibilities Utilize ladders, crawl spaces, manholes, and trenches to access various installations and construction points as required. Safely operate a bucket truck, climb poles and utilize standard tools of the trade. Perform out of town travel during the week as required. Work across all divisions (underground and aerial). Work outside in varying conditions. Work mandatory overtime as required. Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent. Completion of an apprenticeship program in the lineman trade or willingness to learn if no prior experience. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license is a plus. Proficiency in new build, fiber installation, and pole transfers. Knowledge of building strands, lashing, pole transfers, grounding, and building and repairing aerial telecommunication lines. Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs. Ability to climb poles and work aloft up to 30 ft. Pass a pre‑employment background check, MVR check, and drug screening.
