Machine Assembler

Location: New Britain, CT | Schedule: Full-time, on-site (1st or 2nd shift, standard business hours) Overview An established manufacturer in the machinery assembly industry is seeking a Machine Assembler to join its production team. This hands-on role involves building high-precision machinery and contributing to a culture of quality and continuous improvement within a hands-on manufacturing environment. What you'll do Assemble mechanical components and machines according to engineering drawings, part lists, blueprints, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic schematics Use precision tools such as torque wrenches, depth gauges, dial indicators, and digital levels to achieve required tolerances Operate overhead cranes to safely move heavy components during assembly Follow quality standards and accurately measure in both imperial (inch) and metric systems Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals Maintain an organized, clean work area in accordance with lean manufacturing principles Adhere to safety protocols and consistently use personal protective equipment (PPE) Provide feedback and input to support continuous process improvements Required qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in assembly, or 5 years of experience in manufacturing of machine tool parts, maintenance, or service Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without aid and perform repetitive reaching and bending Familiarity with documentation, drawings, and part lists Ability to read schematics and blueprints Skilled in using precision measuring devices with strong attention to detail Preferred qualifications Experience with electrical wiring assembly and computer literacy preferred Forklift license a plus Why this role This is an opportunity to play a hands-on role building high-precision machinery while contributing to continuous process improvement within an innovative manufacturing environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr Software Placement Group
