This position does not require daily commuting to an office. Instead, our therapists enjoy a remote work setting, allowing flexibility while engaging with patients through secured telehealth platforms. Our work hours are generally Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evenings as needed to accommodate patient schedules. This format aids our team in providing timely and personalized mental health care.

  • Collaborate effectively with geriatric psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless continuity of care and integrated treatment approaches.

  • Provide crisis intervention for mental health emergencies, employing decisive and empathetic skills to stabilize patients in distress.

  • Educate patients and their families about mental health challenges and available treatment strategies, empowering them with the knowledge to manage their health.

  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

  • Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to enhance collaborative care and keep abreast of the latest geriatric mental health research and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on elderly individuals facing a variety of psychiatric conditions, particularly those associated with aging, such as depression, anxiety, cognitive impairments, and adjustment disorders. You will be instrumental in helping patients navigate their mental health journeys and improve their overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited university.

  • Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT within the state of California.

  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling preferred, particularly with geriatric clients.

  • Profound knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders and applicable evidence-based treatment modalities.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and an empathetic, patient-centered approach to therapy.

  • Adeptness in building rapport and trust with elderly patients and their families.

  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technologies to ensure accurate case documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Transcendent Healing Psychology Practice is proud to offer a competitive salary, ranging from $115,000 to $130,000 annually.
