Estimator

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for estimating time and delivery for manufactured parts, reviewing completed jobs for profitability and time adjustments, and in-house sales.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:· Properly quote items that can be manufactured in our facility· Properly quote to meet company profit margins· Properly choose appropriate outside vendor to meet requirements· Work directly with customers to gather correct information as required· Review all completed jobs for accuracy and profitability· Properly use the E2 management system to record job informationADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:· Assume other responsibilities as requiredPRIMARY PERFORMANCE PARAMETERS:· Meet the required delivery dates for all assigned jobs· Meet customer delivery requirements· Meet quality requirements of all assigned processes· Conduct all operations in a safe mannerQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:· Ability to read & understand blueprints and technical documents· A genuine belief in continuous improvement and disciplined processes and a willingness to analyze, challenge and change processes, if needed, to create a more efficient environment and culture· Organizational and time management skills· Self starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize work day/projects independently· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills· Good understand of the manufacturing process· Good computer knowledge· Basic math skills· Attention to detailEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:· Minimum of 5 years of experience in ManufacturingCERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIRED:Valid driver’s licensePHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
