Key Responsibilities for the Cost Accountant:

Serve as a trusted business partner by analyzing costs, margins, and operational performance to drive informed decision-making.
Deliver meaningful financial insights through variance analysis and reporting that help identify opportunities and risks.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes while contributing to initiatives that improve efficiency and profitability.
Develop expertise in inventory and cost accounting through hands-on ownership of valuation, reconciliations, and audit activities.
Cost Accountant plays a key role in the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Help strengthen the company's control environment by supporting compliance, audit preparation, and process improvements.

Qualifications for the Cost Accountant:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline with a strong foundation in financial analysis and reporting.
2+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment, including exposure to inventory, standard costing, and operational finance.
Hands-on experience working with ERP systems to support accounting processes, reporting, and data accuracy; Epicor experience is highly preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to analyze large datasets, build financial models, and generate meaningful business insights.
Experience utilizing business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau to support data-driven decision-making and performance analysis.
