Title: RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Location: Bronx, New York

Duration: 13 Weeks (High possibility of extension)

Schedule: 3x11.5-Hour Shifts

Weekly Hours: 34.5 Hours

Position Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional maternal and newborn care in a busy hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong maternal-child nursing experience, advanced assessment skills, and the ability to manage labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care while ensuring patient safety and positive outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery

• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labor and delivery

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring

• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered

• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures

• Assist with and monitor conscious sedation procedures when required

• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

• Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, newborn care, and recovery

• Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies and changing patient conditions

• Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records

• Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection control, and hospital policies

Required Qualifications:

• Active New York State RN License

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN)

• AHA BLS Certification

• AHA ACLS Certification

• NRP Certification

• Minimum 2 years of Maternal & Child nursing experience

• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience

• Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience

• Strong fetal monitoring and maternal assessment skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Labor & Delivery experience in acute care hospital settings

• Experience managing high-risk obstetric patients

• Strong newborn stabilization and postpartum care skills
