Job Description and Duties

Under the direct supervision of a Correctional Case Records Manager, this position performs the following duties: Supervise and train the Case Records Technician in the Electronic Records Management System (ERMS) and Strategic Offender Management System file(s), Intake, Transfers (Automatic Tracking System) Notice and Registration, Board of Prison Hearing (Board of Information Technology Systems, Paroles, Out-to-Court, Pre-Release (Department of Adult Parole Operations, Probation Release Community Services and Cal Paroles), 115’s , Customer Services, California Law Enforcement Tele-Communication Systems (CLETS), to ensure accurate, completeness, and compliance with processing procedures.

Effective July 1, 2025, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires that each full-time employee receive a three (3) percent reduction in pay in exchange for five (5) hours of PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes.

Working Conditions

The California State Prison – Los Angeles County (LAC) is in Lancaster, CA (Antelope Valley) – home to our State’s Poppy Flower. LAC is approximately forty-five (45) minutes North of Valencia, CA, which is home to Six Flags Magic Mountain and is approximately seventy-five (75) miles North from Downtown Los Angeles/ Hollywood.
