We are seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to lead multi-shift QC teams of individual contributors and leads, with a primary focus on raw materials and incoming inspection. This role drives quality performance, process improvement, defect reduction, ISO-based quality systems, audit readiness, statistical control, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives while ensuring customer requirements are met.

 

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily performance of multi-shift QC staff, including individual contributors and leads.
• Lead, motivate, and train QC personnel to meet department and company goals.
• Oversee quality control for raw materials and incoming inspection, as well as work-in-process, non-conforming products, and finished goods.
• Lead or support Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing projects.
• Investigate customer complaints, identify root causes, and initiate corrective actions.
• Drive process improvement, defect reduction, waste elimination, and efficiency gains.
• Maintain ISO-based quality systems and participate in internal and external audits.
• Implement statistical analysis and process-control systems to monitor product quality.
• Ensure customer requirements are met and develop and present KPI reports.
• Actively support Lean Manufacturing initiatives using available tools and technologies.
• Maintain current professional and technical knowledge through training, publications, professional networks, and industry societies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Quality, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time-management and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time, Six Sigma, Total Quality fundamentals, 5S, and/or the Toyota Production System.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Knowledge of statistical tools used in process control and product monitoring.
• Ability to participate in audits, manage small projects, and maintain a high degree of attention to detail.
• Willingness and ability to work rotating or on-call shifts, weekends, and in outdoor environments.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in PV manufacturing or another PV-related field.
• 5 years of experience in supervision or management.
• Knowledge of PV-related certifications.
• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Bilingual English/Mandarin preferred.
