Located near the Virginia Tech campus, Hilton Garden Inn Blacksburg University is dedicated to providing exceptional hospitality, comfortable accommodations, and a clean, welcoming environment for every guest. Our Laundry team plays an important role in supporting guest satisfaction by ensuring fresh, clean linens are available throughout the hotel.

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team.

The Laundry Attendant operates or tends to washers to wash articles, such as towels, linens, blankets, napkins, etc. for the hotel.

Potential career paths include Housekeeping Supervisor, Housekeeping Manager, Operations Manager, Assistant General Manager, General Manager, Area Vice President of Operations.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

• Sorting linen (terry, sheets, pillowcases). Weighing linen and loading in washers.
• Loading dryers.
• Knowing the operating function of the machines.
• Maintaining productivity standards on a daily basis.
• Folding linen and sheets according to proper standards.
• Placing folded linen on marked shelves.

Education and experience:

• High school graduate or general education degree (GED) or work equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required. Previous laundry experience preferred.
• First aid certification is preferred.
