Job Description Membership to the Fitchburg State University part time adjunctfaculty pool is open to qualified and competent experts, externalto the Fitchburg State University faculty, who possess skills,education, and experience in academic and/or professionalareas. All part time faculty are responsible for providing our studentswith a high quality learning environment, while utilizing theirfocused expertise and experience in their individual classroom,laboratories and studios. The Communications Media department offers the followingundergraduate and graduate programs: B.S. in Communications Media with concentrations in Film/Video Production Graphic Design Photography Professional Communication Theater Technical Theater Communications Studies B.S. in Game Design Undergraduate Minors Communications Studies Game Design Graphic Design Theater Technical Theater M.S. in Applied Communication, Social Media concentration Requirements Master's Degree Ph.D. is required to teach M.S. in Applied Communicationcourses Additional Information Fitchburg State University has created an "Open Pool" vacancyannouncement for part time day and evening adjunct faculty bydiscipline. The faculty chair and the divisional dean/associatevice president will review applications submitted when there is aspecific need for part time adjunct to fill a course scheduled inthe academic year for both the day and/or evening classes. The application process will require that applicants designatetheir preference for teaching in the day, evening or both. Pleaseattach a letter of interest and resume when applying for any parttime teaching position. Applications submitted will be maintained from July 1st throughJune 30th for each academic year. At the conclusion of the academicyear the pool will be refreshed and applicants will be required toreapply.
