Entry Level Staff Accountant - Fund Accounting

The Tone: This is a full-time hybrid role at Career Group’s client, located in San Francisco, CA. Our client is a well-established organization with a stable and collaborative team. This role offers a recent Accounting graduate an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in fund accounting, gain hands‑on experience, and grow within a supportive environment. The position contributes directly to the fund accounting side of the business and interfaces closely with the family office team. The TL;DR Role: Early Career Type: Full-time Location: Hybrid, San Francisco Bay Area Pay: $70000–$80000 yearly Team: Sits on the fund accounting side of the business and interfaces closely with the family office team. Mission: This person assists in maintaining accurate financial records for funds and supports key accounting processes for a well-established organization. Tech Stack: QuickBooks, Excel What You’ll Actually Do Monitor: Monitor and review cash accounts, notifying the team of relevant fund activity. Track: Track operating expenses, investment activity, and maintain accurate investment records. Assist: Assist with capital calls and support month‑end and quarter‑end close processes. Support: Support financial reporting deliverables and the independent financial audit from January through April. Interface: Interface with the family office team on fund accounting matters and assist with additional accounting projects. The Must-Haves Background: Entry‑Level, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field. Experience: Up to 1 year of post‑graduation experience, though candidates with less experience are encouraged to apply. Skills: Highly detail‑oriented with strong attention to accuracy; tech‑savvy with the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly; strong organizational skills and consistent follow‑through.
