About the Opportunity

A prominent specialty medical group in the Bronx, NY, is seeking a qualified Urology Physician Assistant to join their dynamic surgical subspecialty team. This full-time, direct-hire role offers a balanced combination of outpatient clinical care, diagnostic procedures, and collaborative surgical subspecialty support alongside experienced Urologists in a modern, well-resourced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive outpatient urological evaluations, workups, and follow-ups for male and female patients (e.g., BPH, urinary incontinence, nephrolithiasis, prostate care, and urological malignancies).
• Perform routine office procedures such as catheterizations, cystoscopies, difficult insertions/exchanges, and wound management.
• Order, interpret, and review diagnostic imaging (CT, ultrasound), urodynamic studies, and laboratory results (PSA, urine cultures, cytology).
• Formulate evidence-based treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide extensive pre- and post-operative patient education.
• Collaborate closely with attending Urologists, medical assistants, and surgical staff to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain complete and timely clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) Program.
• Active, unencumbered New York State Physician Assistant License.
• NCCPA Certification (PA-C).
• Active New York DEA registration and Prescriptive Authority.
• Prior clinical experience or rotation exposure in Urology, General Surgery, or Outpatient Surgical Subspecialties is highly desirable.
• Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) are a strong plus in this community.
