Laundry Attendant

Treasure Island Resort & Casino Welch, MN 55089, USA Description SUMMARY: To wash and iron linens and towels. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards. May be 16 years of age or older.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate industrial laundry equipment to perform a variety of duties including but not limited to washing, drying, sorting, folding and inspecting items for wear and tear Ensure laundry area is clean and organized Sort and prioritize incoming laundry Stock carts and storage areas with linen and terry and maintain stock and inventory Assist other staff as needed, including cleaning hotel rooms

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge and Certification Preferred: Previous housekeeping or laundry experience Skills Required: Accurate and detail-oriented Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities Abilities Required: Ability to work fast and efficiently Ability to follow supervisors verbal instructions Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene Ability to learn appropriate chemical usage and proper equipment usage Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner

REQUIRED TRAINING

Treasure Island guest service training Laundry safety orientation Any position-related training as determined by department manager

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to stand for long periods of time with moderate amounts of walking and occasional sitting Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel Must be able to reach and twist routinely Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely Must have the ability to independently lift up to 40 pounds routinely Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions Must have good eye hand coordination

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
