Description

• Assess patients across various age demographics, utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods to gather data.
• Create tailored treatment plans that encompass both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Implement individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to ensure integrated care approaches.
• Provide education to patients and their families, promoting progress and understanding outside of therapy sessions.
• Conduct intermittent inpatient evaluations and treatment, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the patient's rehabilitation journey.
• Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional guidelines, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Stay informed about advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred certification in Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
