Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday | Primarily 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Make an impact in the lives of Seminole youth. The Boys & Girls Club is seeking a Youth Development Specialist to support the growth, well-being, and success of youth across the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Boys & Girls Clubs. This role is ideal for a youth development, counseling, social work, or family services professional who enjoys working directly with young people while helping strengthen programs that serve their needs. This is a 100% on-site position based at the Big Cypress Reservation in Clewiston, FL . The position will also provide scheduled coverage at the Immokalee Reservation , with approximately 1–2 hours of travel time between reservations depending on your schedule. Commuting from outside the area? Employees traveling more than 40 miles one way may qualify for a fuel stipend. What You’ll Do In this role, you will evaluate and monitor programs and activities offered throughout the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Boys & Girls Clubs. Through regular observation of youth interactions, behaviors, and participation, you will identify individual and program needs and help address concerns through intervention, counseling, and the development of long-term staffing strategies. You will also serve as a liaison to parents, counselors, and other Tribal Youth Services professionals regarding the needs and well-being of participating youth. Additional responsibilities include supporting Boys & Girls Club programming designed to provide a safe, well-supervised environment where Seminole youth can learn, build relationships, and express themselves through activities such as homework assistance, games, arts and crafts, supervised outdoor activities, music lessons, performances, filmmaking, and other creative programming. What We’re Looking For Master’s degree in Youth Development, Counseling, Family Counseling and Therapy, Social Work, or a related field required. Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in the development and implementation of programs for youth or administering community programs. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. CPR and First Aid certification required or must be obtained. Valid Florida Driver’s License required. Ability to effectively work with diverse groups of youth . Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office . Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills . Excellent written and verbal English communication skills . Ability to travel to all Seminole reservations as required. Ability to maintain a flexible schedule , including evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed for pre-planned trainings or special events. Why Join Us?
