Within the Surgery Department—also known as the Surgery Unit and Operating Room—the Surgical Assistant Nurse Manager will support a perioperative program that serves diverse and complex cases across multiple specialties while leveraging modern equipment and well-organized supply chains for reliable case flow. The Surgical Services Assistant Nurse Manager will report to the Director of Perioperative Services and collaborate closely with OR Charge Nurses, Anesthesia leadership, Surgeons, Sterile Processing, and Perioperative Educators to optimize staffing, scheduling, quality metrics, throughput, and patient experience. This leadership role supports a friendly, highly skilled nursing staff and a diverse, interdisciplinary team that includes surgical technologists, anesthesia techs, PACU/Pre-Op RNs, pharmacy, PT/OT, case management, and social work—ensuring seamless perioperative continuity of care.
