Job Description Position Description Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver. Join us at Ryder in Marion, VA. Pay: $1650 per week. Additional pay details: Solo Miles Pay: $0.55 per mile with 2500-3000 miles per week Solo Stops Pay: $19.05 per stop with 3-7 stops per week Nights out: 3-4 times per week Safety Bonus: $500 four times a year Sign On Bonus: $1500 at 30 days and $1500 at 90 days Paid Training Schedule: Sunday - Friday Start Time: AM Dispatch Driving routes include SOLO destinations to MI, WI, KS, PA, NJ, NY, SC, NC, OH, FL, IN, KY, TN, and GA. Tractor type: Sleeper; trailer type: 53' Dry Van, Curtainside. Freight: Touch – Molding and Building Products. Trucks are 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fuel at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide. Benefits Paid Personal Time Off starts at day 1 – 80 hours accrued in first year. Driver autonomy and job protection. We will buy your truck if you are transitioning from owner-operator to company employee driver. Requirements Minimum 21 years of age. Pass Ryder drug test. Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years. Pass DOT physical. Pass Ryder road test. Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements. Class A experience: 9 months within last 3 years or 2 years within last 5 years or 5 years within last 10 years. Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions. Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, and policies. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
