The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology Oncology is recruiting for a full-time Research Assistant in a lab focused on investigating bone complications and bone pain in sickle and control mice. Essential Functions Active role in animal husbandry within the lab including but not limited to: preparing for bone marrow transplants (BMT), identifying donors and colony managers, performing injections and cell cultures. Document and organize research results and data according to NIH's preferred good laboratory management practices (LabArchives) and UCLIMS. Make independent contributions to projects and studies based on evidence-based literature. Perform statistical and graphical analysis of data, interpretation of data, and validity of testing Maintain timely project goals, deadlines, and studies for contributions to publications and grant funding applications. Organize research results and data according to good laboratory management practices. Required Education Bachelor's Degree. Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Required Experience Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline.
