Job Description

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects from conceptual budgeting through final bid
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and design documents
• Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure scope coverage and alignment
• Participate in preconstruction planning, bid strategy discussions, and valueengineering efforts
• Identify project risks, contingencies, and costsaving opportunities during the estimating process
• Maintain and utilize historical cost data, benchmarks, and estimating databases
• Support bid submissions, scope clarifications, and postbid negotiations as required
• Collaborate closely with preconstruction, project management, and leadership teams to ensure smooth project handoff
• Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy
• Utilize estimating software, takeoff tools, and Excel for cost analysis and reporting
• Contribute to a collaborative, qualitydriven estimating and preconstruction environment

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Applicant for the Estimating position:

• Proven experience estimating commercial construction projects with a strong understanding of means and methods
• Ability to produce accurate, wellstructured estimates from conceptual through bid documents
• Highly detailoriented with strong analytical and problemsolving skills
• Comfortable reviewing drawings, specifications, and scopes across multiple trade packages
• Collaborative mindset, working effectively with preconstruction, project management, and leadership teams
• Strong communication skills when working with subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Organized and capable of managing multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
• Proficient with estimating software, takeoff tools, and Excel
• Values quality, accuracy, and longterm project success over highvolume bid chasing
• Motivated to grow professionally within a stable, relationshipdriven construction environment
