Junior Environment Engineer – SPCC Program Title: Junior Environment Engineer Posting End Date: July 16, 2026 Employee Type: Regular – Full Time Responsibilities Prepare, review, update and professionally certify SPCC plans for applicable assets. Coordinate site visits and conduct inspections to ensure compliance, identify improvement areas, and communicate findings clearly to operations. Manage the migration of SPCC plans into SmartPlan and use SmartPlan for all SPCC plan management. Retain and manage third‑party consultants and personnel, ensuring compliance with Enbridge’s safety program requirements. Provide guidance, advice, and interpretation of SPCC regulations and applicable state regulations. Update internal systems (Maximo, Enablon) to track compliance tasks and inspection findings. Qualifications Degree in engineering. PE designation preferred; candidate eligible to attain within 12–18 months. Minimum 2–4 years’ experience, preferably with hands‑on site inspections related to SPCC compliance. Understanding of SPCC regulation and related state regulations. Experience using SmartPlan or similar platform for SPCC plan management is an asset. Experience in natural gas transmission, gathering, production, or distribution preferred. Valid driver’s license; motor vehicle check will be performed prior to hire. Working Conditions Both office and field environment; up to 30% field work with travel from 1 day to 1 week at a time. Exposure to active operating sites often without escort; work alone at active facilities. Physical requirements: grasping, kneeling, walking on uneven/unpaved surfaces, light–moderate lifting (up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual and hearing requirements, extended computer use. Mental requirements: understanding and applying instructions, problem solving, organizing work, decision making, communication by phone.
