Job Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient evaluations through physical exams and comprehensive medical history analysis
- Assist in diagnosing surgical ailments by interpreting clinical tests and imaging results
- Work hand-in-hand with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical care plans
- Provide essential support during surgical procedures by preparing the OR, positioning patients, and facilitating instrument hand-offs
- Ensure high-quality care pre- and post-surgery that includes administering medications, managing wounds, preparing discharge plans, and offering educational support to patients
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Experience from clinical rotations with a focus on surgery is strongly preferred
- Current and valid PA-C certification
- BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
- State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
- Solid foundation in surgical practices and sterile techniques
- Able to interpret diagnostic tests effectively and contribute to critical clinical judgments
- Outstanding communication and relational skills
