Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy strategies tailored to each client's unique needs.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and group settings, employing approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, while utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to streamline practice.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, attending case consultations to ensure comprehensive care and effective treatment planning.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay informed on the latest advancements in mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve often have limited access to mental health resources. You will work with diverse populations, addressing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse disorders. Your expertise will play a crucial role in providing support to those who need it most, fostering positive change in their lives.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Current and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating effective treatment delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse client base.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and understanding of privacy laws applicable to patient information.

Preferred Experience

  • Specializations in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse are strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a community health clinic is an asset, enhancing your understanding of the specific needs of underserved populations.

Compensation and Benefits
