Progressive Care Unit Nurse (PCU/SDU RN)

Pcu Rn JobPCU RNs closely monitor patients recently released from the ICU before those patients are moved to regular hospital beds. PCU RNs monitor cardiac and other critical vital signs and detect any changes, thereby enabling intervention of life-threatening, or emergency situations. PCU RNs work in hospitals, and usually will float as needed to work in Tele or Med Surg units.Education/Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): 4-Year EducationAssociates Degree in Nursing (ADN): 2-Year EducationYou must earn an ADN or BSN degree and pass the NCLEX to apply for a license as a RN.RNs can only work with an active state license.ACLS is often required**8 or 12hr shifts available. **Must pick up 1 shift every 60 days to stay active** Submission Requirements Graduate of an accredited nursing program. - Required Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Illinois - Required Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Required Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. - Required 1.5 years of cardiac step down experience.- Required Certification Requirements ACLS (AHA) BLS (AHA) State License Requirements Illinois
