Description

• Assess individuals from pediatric to geriatric populations using comprehensive methods, including standardized testing and observational assessments.
• Create tailored treatment plans that target immediate objectives while considering long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on vital areas like communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including occupational and physical therapists, as well as physicians and family members, to ensure holistic patient care.
• Provide education to patients and their families to enhance progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, maintaining care consistency throughout each patient's recovery journey.
• Ensure meticulous and timely documentation, adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities and peer mentorship.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days post-hire.
