Job Description
ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool. This position involves providing high-quality care in various settings, including ICU, MS, Telemetry, PCU, and overflow units. The ideal candidate must be flexible and ready to face the challenges of a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
Float to other units as required, including inpatient and overflow areas.
Administer medications and treatments as per physician's orders.
Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
Participate in patient care planning and evaluation.
Conduct regular assessments and document patient progress.
Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
Assist in emergency situations as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required.
Current California RN License.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale.
Experience in a 400-bed or larger facility is preferred.
Required experience with PA line and Swan Ganz catheter.
First-time travelers are welcome to apply with the necessary experience.
Must pass an EKG exam administered on the first day of orientation.

Work Schedule:

Day shift: 4x12-hour schedule (07:00 - 19:30).
Weekend shifts are required.
This is a floating position; no scheduling requests can be accommodated.
No time off requests for the first two weeks of the assignment will be accepted.

Special Requirements:

This role requires floating between various healthcare units.
An active California RN license must be held at the time of submission.
