Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and service-oriented Deli/ Salad Bar Associate to join our team! As a Deli/ Salad Bar Associate assist customers by preparing their orders to their needs and ensure an excellent customer experience. Responsibilities may include Re-stocking salad bars,  making salads, making sandwiches, food prep, slicing and wrapping meat and cheese varieties, and maintaining the store’s appearance. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in customer service, food knowledge and food sanitation

Responsibilities 

• Greet each customer with a smile and provide assistance 
• Follow all safety and loss prevention procedures
• Slicing meat/cheese and portioning
• Cutting vegetables 
• Making sandwiches for grab and go and to order
• Working in a secure atmosphere
• Drive sales by participating in targeted product promotions and initiatives as set forth by the company
• Develop and maintain solid product knowledge in order to best help customers with their selections

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively
• Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service
• Willingness to work well in a team environment
• Must have 2+ years experience 
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule
• Food knowledge HACCP and FIFO
