Sherpani designs travel bags and accessories for women who want to move through the world with ease. Founded in Boulder, Colorado, we sell direct-to-consumer and through retail partners nationwide, including REI. Our gift and specialty wholesale business is a key growth channel, and we’re looking for a sales leader to own it.

The Role

The Sales Agency Manager is fully responsible for Sherpani’s partnership with the Ivystone Rep Group. That covers a network of 70 independent reps across 45 states, the accounts they open and grow, and our permanent showrooms at Atlanta Market and Las Vegas Market. You’ll own the strategy, the relationships, and the numbers for the whole agency channel.

You’ll lead a Wholesale Sales Specialist who supports day-to-day order flow and account service. You’ll also work closely with our in-house Key Account Manager, who manages Sherpani’s direct national accounts, to keep pricing, programs, and messaging consistent across channels. You report to the Lead Brand Manager.

What You’ll Do

Rep and Agency Management

• Manage the Ivystone relationship and its 70 independent reps across 45 states, setting clear territory goals, expectations, and accountability.
• Train and equip reps on product, new collections, brand story, and selling points so they represent Sherpani with confidence.
• Track rep performance by territory, spot gaps and opportunities, and work with the agency to fix underperforming areas.
• Join reps on ride-alongs as needed to support account growth, coach reps, and strengthen retailer relationships.

Accounts and Sales

• Own all sales, revenue targets, and account growth for the agency channel, including new account acquisition, reorders, and retention.
• Build and manage seasonal sales plans, forecasts, and promotions for the rep network.
• Monitor sell-through, order trends, and account health, and turn insights into action.
• Resolve account issues with the Wholesale Sales Specialist, including pricing, shipping, credits, and terms.

Showrooms and Trade Shows

• Manage Sherpani’s presence in the Atlanta and Las Vegas showrooms, including merchandising, product assortment, samples, and marketing materials.
• Lead show strategy and execution for both markets, from pre-show planning and appointment setting to working the showroom floor during market and handling post-show follow-up and order tracking.
• Make sure the showrooms reflect current collections and Sherpani’s brand standards year-round.

Team and Collaboration

• Lead and develop the Wholesale Sales Specialist.
• Work with the Key Account Manager to coordinate account ownership, avoid channel conflict, and align on wholesale programs.
• Partner with brand, creative, and operations teams on sales tools, line sheets, catalogs, and inventory planning.
• Report regularly on channel performance, wins, and risks to leadership.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience in sales, sales management, or team leadership.
• Experience in gift, travel, accessories, outdoor, or specialty retail strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of trade show and showroom operations.
• Strong analytical skills, comfortable with sales reports, forecasts, and territory data.
• Clear, confident communicator who can motivate a remote, independent team.
• Organized and self-directed, able to manage many accounts, reps, and deadlines at once.
• Experience with wholesale ordering platforms and CRM tools [e.g., MarketTime].

Travel

Travel to Atlanta and Las Vegas at least twice a year for the seasonal markets. You’ll work the shows on-site in our showrooms, training reps, meeting buyers, presenting collections, and writing orders alongside the reps. Expect additional travel for rep ride-alongs and account visits as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

• $56,000 base salary plus 0.5% uncapped commission on tracked sales, so your earnings grow with the channel
• $400 bonus when Sherpani hits its company-wide sales goals
• Hybrid schedule with 2 – 3 days per week in our Boulder office
