Operations Specialist (Night Shift)

Merck seeks an Operations Specialist for its Resiliency Center to monitor global security and safety threats, coordinate emergency responses, and maintain situational awareness during routine and crisis operations. The role requires continuous availability on a fixed night shift schedule, managing communication platforms, threat assessment, and incident coordination across worldwide company interests.

Responsibilities

• Monitor global events and assess potential threats to company personnel and operations
• Operate emergency notification systems and distribute security alerts and intelligence summaries
• Serve as initial coordination point during incidents, initiating response procedures and maintaining awareness
• Monitor physical security systems and coordinate responses with internal and external partners
• Maintain incident documentation, event logs, and operational records per standard procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years in global security operations center, emergency dispatch, or 24/7 command center
• Experience with mass communication, threat intelligence, and travel tracking platforms
• Strong analytical and written communication skills with critical thinking ability
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced 24/7 environment under pressure
• High attention to detail and discretion handling sensitive information

Compensation: $96,200–$151,400 base
