Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurses are sought for a facility in Asheville, North Carolina. This role entails providing compassionate care in a 20-bed inpatient overflow unit with medical-surgical and step-down patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, telemetry competency, recent progressive care experience, inpatient hospital experience, North Carolina nursing license or eligible to obtain one, zero years of experience required.
• Schedule: Day Shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Unit staffed with 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 CNAs per shift. Patient ratios are 1:5/1:6 depending on acuity. Telemetry monitoring required for all patients, with bedside hardwired monitors. EMR system used is Cerner. Candidates should have a positive attitude, be patient experience focused, kind, compassionate, and a team player. Travelers may be required to float to other units as needed. Every other weekend required; no on-call required.
