Facility Maintenance Technician

Position Overview

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the building, grounds, and plant support equipment, as well as loading and unloading bulk materials.


Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Starting Pay: $25+/hour, based on experience

Essential Job Functions

1. Maintain and repair facility infrastructure, including buildings and grounds.
2. Perform inspections and routine maintenance on plant support equipment, such as boilers, air compressors, dryers, and water treatment systems.
3. Conduct all life safety inspections and repairs, including fire suppression systems, ladders, exit lights, and eyewash stations.
4. Unload and handle incoming bulk materials as they arrive from rail and truck shipments.
5. Inspect and maintain all bulk storage and distribution systems to ensure proper operation.
6. Support both facility and production-related projects as needed.
7. Assist production teams when additional support is required.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements - Education, Skills and Experiences

1. High School diploma or GED required.
2. Prior experience in facility maintenance or related field preferred.
3. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
4. Basic computer skills required.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
6. Ability to comply with all workplace safety requirements.

Requirements - Physical & Environmental

1. Low sensitivity to a highly fragranced work environment.
2. Physical activities include standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
3. Exposure to moving machinery.
4. Work conditions may involve marked changes in temperature and humidity.
