Work Environment

The chosen candidate will work onsite at a reputable hospital situated in Cortland, New York. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Assisting licensed Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient.
• Delivering hands-on therapy that includes therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Monitoring patient progress through regular assessment and documentation to ensure treatment effectiveness and adapt plans as required.
• Providing education and guidance to patients on proper exercise techniques, self-care methods, and lifestyle modifications that aid recovery.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to discuss patient progress and adjustments to care plans, promoting the most effective therapeutic interventions.
• Maintaining accurate, timely, and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards in healthcare documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will primarily be on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic pain conditions. You will work with individuals of various ages and activity levels, helping them regain their mobility and independence. Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistance or a related field.
• A current and active state license for Physical Therapist Assistants.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic setting, demonstrating hands-on therapy skills and familiarization with therapeutic modalities.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy, and physiology to inform clinical practice effectively.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
