Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Tech will perform obstetric ultrasound procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging to assist in patient diagnosis and care. This role requires demonstrating technical proficiency, excellent patient interaction, and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Operate state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic images of the abdomen and OB/GYN areas.
• Perform OB ultrasound exams with precision, following established protocols.
• Interact positively with patients, families, and healthcare teams by demonstrating empathy and compassion.
• Maintain accurate documentation of ultrasound procedures and findings within the electronic health records system.
• Comply with licensing, certification, and hospital policies to ensure safe and effective imaging practices.
• Support team collaboration by communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Sonography license with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI), either permanent or temporary.
• Certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Abdomen and OB/GYN.
• Possess a minimum of four years of ultrasound experience, including OB ultrasound proficiency.
• Be BLS certified through the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrate competence in operating advanced ultrasound and related medical imaging equipment.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide empathetic patient care.
