Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. You’ll play a crucial role in the educational journey of K-6th graders, delivering both direct therapy and collaborating on evaluations with a supportive team. This contract position is based in person, with the potential to transition to a virtual schedule by August.

Enjoy a consistent yet flexible workweek, dedicating two full days to direct services and reserving a half-day for meetings, testing, and documentation. The caseload is steadily growing, allowing you to build ongoing relationships and make a lasting impact.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Active Delaware SLP license (will also review applications from SLPAs or Clinical Fellows with school-based backgrounds)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
  • Previous success in school settings or with pediatric populations (ideally grades K-6)
  • Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills
  • Willingness to work onsite as required and adapt to virtual delivery if needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy to K-6th grade students
  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and re-evaluations as part of the educational team
  • Participate in IEP meetings and consult with teachers, staff, and families
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and services
  • Flex between direct services and administrative duties as scheduled
