Cardiac Anesthesiologist Opportunity in Lafayette, LA

Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule: 3 FTE model with a 2 on 1 off rotation; 17 weeks off per year
• Job Setting: Hospital Level II Trauma Center
• Types of Cases:
  • Open Heart / Cardiac Anesthesia (500+ cardiac cases per year)
  • Thoracic cases (including robot-assisted)
  • Complex Vascular
  • Complete Orthopedic
  • Regional Anesthesia
  • Structural Heart (Watchmen, PFO closures, MitraClip)
  • CRNA Supervision (90% supervision model, occasionally performing own cases)
  • General Anesthesia (Adult)
  • Spine
• Start Date: November 1, 2026

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
• Certifications:
  • Fellowship or recent extensive cardiac surgical experience capable of covering all cases (except LVAD and Transplant)
  • Perioperative echo certification with strong echo capability; able to assist with surgical decisions for valve surgeries
  • Echo experience or extensive structural heart case experience (Watchmen, PFO closures, MitraClip)
