Truck Driver CDL-A
Pay Rate: $22-35/hr. (depending on experience level)
Location: York, PA (Primarily Local Work, Some Overnights May be Required as Needed)
Description:
Cannonball Recruiting is seeking multiple CDL-A Truck Drivers for a paving and excavating company located in York, PA.
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record is required
- Requires a Class A and/or Class B and a current medical examiner's certificate
- Experience with Flat Bed or Low Boy is required
- Safely move and load various heavy equipment on and off of flatbed trailers
- Ability to sit for long periods of time and the ability to lift 50-75 pounds as needed, stand for long periods of time, and work in extreme heat or near hot asphalt
- Ability to drive around construction sites and tight spaces within city limits
- Ability to navigate to various job sites throughout any given day
- Communication with Foreman
- Time Management & Productivity
Job Duties:
- Daily pre-trip inspection and post inspections
- Cleaning and maintaining the daily task to maintain the truck
- Material Transport: Haul aggregates, blacktop, and equipment between quarries, asphalt plants, and construction zones.
- Backing trucks safely into pavers or maneuvering through tight construction zones with low clearances.
- Site Support assist with manual labor, such as shoveling/raking/brooming to finish edges and joints when work is needed
