Job Description

This role involves working in a manufacturing production facility within the finishing department, adding the final touches to hydraulic hose assemblies. The Assembler performs light assembly work, follows parts diagrams on a computer to meet customer specifications, and ensures that each hose assembly is completed accurately and to high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Work in the finishing department to complete hydraulic hose assemblies according to customer specifications.

• Read and interpret parts diagrams from a computer to determine the correct finishing parts and configurations for each hose.

• Use a hose wrapping machine to apply coil protectors and other protective wrappings around hoses.

• Install hat wrap seals over couplings and cap the ends of hoses to ensure proper protection and sealing.

• Measure hoses accurately using a tape measure down to 1/16 of an inch and mark distinct lines with markers as required.

• Select and assemble appropriate components to complete hose assemblies and finished products.

• Perform light assembly tasks in a manufacturing production environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.

• Follow work instructions and production schedules to meet daily output and quality goals.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area within the production facility.

• Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues with parts, measurements, or diagrams to ensure accurate completion of assemblies.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience working in light assembly or assembling parts to complete finished products.

• At least 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing production environment.

• Ability to read a tape measure accurately down to 1/16 of an inch.

• Ability to read and interpret parts diagrams from a computer to select correct finishing parts for hose completion.

• Basic manufacturing and production skills, including attention to detail and quality.

• Strong reading comprehension to follow written instructions and diagrams.

• Experience working with hydraulic hoses and hose assemblies is strongly preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous hydraulic hose assembly experience is a plus.

• Experience operating machines, such as a hose wrapping machine, is a plus.

• Experience working in a finishing department in a manufacturing facility performing light assembly is a plus.

• Comfort using basic hand tools and measuring tools in a production environment.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a small production team.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean manufacturing production facility with a strong, positive culture. The team consists of approximately 30 people in a multi-cultural environment where employees are valued and respected. The position operates on a first shift schedule, typically 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work involves light assembly tasks in a finishing department, using equipment such as hose wrapping machines, tape measures, and computer-based parts diagrams.

This is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
