PATIENT SERVICES MANAGER, FOOD AND NUTRITION - HOSPITALS

Salary: $65,000 per year. Up to $2,500 annual bonus. Reports to Sr. Director of Food and Nutrition. Schedule Full time; must be able to work a flexible schedule and 1 weekend per month. Hours of operation are 6am-8pm. More details are available upon interviewing. Job Summary The Patient Services Manager will lead food and nutrition patient services within a hospital setting. This role oversees daily operations for an average census of 200–230 patients, ensuring high-quality service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner while maintaining strong patient satisfaction and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage patient dining services based on medical directives and patient population needs Hire, train, coach, and develop patient services team members Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions, special diets, and patient food preferences within clinical guidelines Drive patient satisfaction initiatives and ensure service excellence standards are met Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accrediting agency regulations, including HIPAA and patient rights policies Participate in and/or lead patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives Qualifications Healthcare experience in patient services, food & nutrition (hospital experience strongly preferred) Minimum 1+ year of leadership or management experience in a hospital or healthcare environment Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Food Service, or related field preferred Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Registered Diet Technician (DTR), or Registered Dietitian (RD) strongly preferred ServSafe® certification preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, and diet office systems Strong computer skills, including email and internet applications Benefits Medical Dental Vision Life Insurance / AD Disability Insurance Retirement Plan Paid Time Off Paid Parental Leave Holiday Time Off (varies by site/state) Personal Leave Associate Shopping Program Health and Wellness Programs Discount Marketplace Identity Theft Protection Pet Insurance Commuter Benefits Employee Assistance Program Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) Equal Opportunity Employer Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
