Details Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit Patient population includes obstetrical, couplet care, and LDRP patients with a 1:3 patient ratio Work setting includes Labor & Delivery, LDRP, Mother/Baby, and Antepartum care Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 18:00 to 6:30 Option of 36 or 48 hours per week Every other weekend required Epic charting system experience required Floating to like units within scope required based on facility needs Requirements Active RN license (NM or Compact) required, pending license accepted if obtained prior to start Current BLS and NRP certifications required STABLE certification preferred 1 year of experience in L&D and couplet care/LDRP required Previous charge experience preferred Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred Epic charting experience required Skills required include newborn care, newborn assessment, infant identification, thermoregulation, labor and delivery management, assisting with vaginal delivery, recovering C-section patients, postpartum care and procedures, breastfeeding/lactation support, episiotomy/incisional care, couplet care, and triage of obstetrical patients Phototherapy and newborn hypoglycemia management skills preferred Additional Information Provide comprehensive labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care within a hospital setting First time travelers are welcome to apply Must reside outside a 50 mile radius as local candidates are not accepted Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler No more than 3-4 days of RTO can be auto-approved, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation Brief unit orientation provided for floating assignments Travel pairs or groups not accepted American Traveler Job ID P-743185.
