ELL Teacher

Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor Work toward student achievement, culture, and state-specific academic accountability goals Deliver effective live lessons via web conference using research-based instructional practices Set up courses in the Learning Management System Monitor asynchronous student progress and provide daily assignment feedback and grades Track and maintain contact with each student Collaborate with the Principal on student progress reports Review student-level data and adjust instructional programs Differentiate instruction for all students Use research-based practices in synchronous and asynchronous instruction Create a joyful, caring, and supportive classroom environment Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms Communicate with families about students' academic and social-emotional growth Incorporate 21st-century technology skills into classroom and team practice Plan and implement non-instructional activities, including social events and field trips, and attend them in person Collaborate and communicate with colleagues Travel annually to support required face-to-face state testing Perform other assigned duties Requirements Eligibility open to residents of Arizona Current state teaching license in the appropriate content area Must have an SEI (Structured English Immersion) Endorsement Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards Preferred two years' experience teaching Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment involving observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring High-quality written and verbal communication skills High proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook Ability to properly manage confidential information Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time Ability to supervise students in all school settings Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in delivering effective instruction through research-based practices, utilizing technology in the classroom, and fostering a supportive learning environment.
