Together, we can shape the future.Job Description:Position ObjectiveResponsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility machinery. Ensures plant equipment is properly maintained to support safe, efficient, and reliable production.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility machinery and material handling systemsMaintain spare parts inventory, including determining appropriate stocking levels and ordering parts from vendors and catalogsInstall, maintain, and repair conveyors, bucket elevators, screw conveyors, forklifts, front-end loaders, and sweepersChange bearings, belts, and idler pulleys on trough-style conveyorsClean and service pneumatic valves on optical sorting machines and maintain a clean work areaPerform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairsConduct inspections and basic maintenance on non-ferrous metal detectorsTroubleshoot and maintain sorting computer systems (Windows-based); create and maintain software and parameter backupsWeld, fabricate, and repair components, including patching holes in steel chutes and transitionsPerform rigging of motors, conveyor pulleys, and other heavy componentsCommunicate equipment issues effectively with mechanics and supervisors across shiftsMaintain, secure, and properly use tools and equipmentComplete daily maintenance and repair logs and support the preventive maintenance (PM) programProvide on-the-job training to new employeesServe as backup support for maintenance technicians as neededParticipate in problem-solving efforts and support maintenance-related projectsWork collaboratively as a team member and provide leadership when requiredWork a flexible schedule, including various shifts and days, as business needs dictatePerform other duties as assignedSkillsAdvanced mechanical and basic electrical maintenance skillsWelding and fabrication experienceStrong communication skillsProficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)Knowledge & ExperienceExperience with mechanical conveyor systemsAbility to communicate in English and Spanish (required in some locations)Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principlesElectronic systems experience (preferred)Glass processing experience (preferred)PLC experience (preferred)Working ConditionsExposure to dusty and noisy environments on a periodic basisCombination of light, moderate, and heavy physical activityWork involves technical and hands-on maintenance tasksPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionallyFrequent bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and climbing stairs (up to 50% of the time)Walking or standing up to 75% of the workdayRegular use of hands for handling tools, machinery, welding equipment, and mechanical partsFine motor skills required for operating machinery, tools, and computer equipmentBenefitsMedical InsurancePrescription Drug BenefitsDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife InsuranceDisability InsuranceCritical Illness Insurance401(k) Retirement Savings PlanSibelco is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.#LI_DNIEmployee Type:PermanentWhy Join Us?Sibelco is more than a workplace—it’s a community that encourages growth, innovation, and collaboration.
