Summary About the Position: Uses automatic data processing, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal knowledge and ability to manage assigned supply systems and to provide supply and logistical support. Responsibilities Maintains operational support and responsibility for assigned supply system Establishes and maintains contact with key item managers for supply sources. Establishes and controls requisitioning objectives (RO's) and unique mission support levels. Monitors multiple automated inventory management systems to ensure users receive appropriate equipment and supplies, reviews requisitions, determines potential alternatives, and determines appropriate actions to be taken. Prepares financial reports to compare performance against programmed objectives. Develops plans to meet objectives resulting from policy or program changes. Specialized Experience GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes Utilizing supply systems to manage inventory AND process requisitions to support mission readiness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement GS-07: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. This position requires a 1 year probationary period or 2-year probationary trial during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. In making this determination, the agency may consider your performance and conduct; agency needs and interests; whether your continued employment supports organizational or Government goals; and whether it promotes the efficiency of the Federal service. Continued employment requires written certification that it advances the public interest. Direct deposit of pay is required.
