PM Dock Supervisor

About the Job About Us: Lightning Logistics LLC is a fast-paced transportation and logistics company focused on safety, accountability, and operational excellence. We are looking for a motivated Dock Supervisor to lead daily dock operations and help maintain efficient freight movement while supporting our drivers and warehouse teams. Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily dock operations and dock personnel.
- Ensure freight is loaded/unloaded safely and accurately.
- Monitor route completion and freight staging.
- Verify damaged freight is properly documented and scanned.
- Enforce dock safety procedures and company SOPs.
- Coach and develop dock employees on productivity and safety expectations.
- Coordinate with dispatch, drivers, and management to ensure on-time operations.
- Maintain organization of freight lanes and dock areas.
- Conduct dock walks and verify equipment safety compliance.
- Assist with staffing coverage and workflow management.
- Monitor attendance, performance, and policy compliance.
- Ensure proper use of pallet jacks, forklifts, cones, chocks, and glad hand locks.
- Previous warehouse, dock, or logistics leadership experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with freight handling and load planning preferred.
- Must have verifiable forklift experience.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Must be dependable and safety-focused.
- Transportation or LTL logistics experience.
- Experience using scanning systems or warehouse management systems.
- Experience supervising teams in a dock or warehouse setting.
