Technical Data Analyst (Insurance Domain – P&C / Reinsurance)Location: Warren, NJ (3 days onsite) Experience: 10+ YearsAbout the RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled Technical Data Analyst to join a dynamic IT Global Services team. This role focuses on analyzing complex data sets, improving data quality, and delivering actionable insights to support business decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise and domain experience in P&C insurance or reinsurance.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, review, and document existing data assets across multiple source systemsPerform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomaliesDocument current processes, data flows, and system limitationsCreate data mapping documents and define transformation rulesCollaborate with data architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to align on reporting requirementsValidate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across systemsIdentify and document data quality issues and inconsistenciesProvide insights through ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and data profilingCommunicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersRequired Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, MIS, or related field10+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in P&C insurance or reinsurance domainStrong expertise in SQL (must-have)Experience with data analysis tools/languages such as Python or RSolid understanding of policy and claims management systemsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skillsExperience working with data quality, data profiling, and data governance conceptsFamiliarity with Agile tools like Jira and ConfluenceExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills
