Paralegal

Our client, a reputable Chicago-based law firm, is working with our agency to hire an experienced Trust & Estates Paralegal to support its private client practice. This is a hybrid role handling estate planning, administration, and tax-related matters. Key Responsibilities: Draft and prepare estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related instruments Assist with estate administration, including probate filings, asset collection, and distribution processes Coordinate and prepare federal and state estate tax returns (Forms 706 and applicable state filings) Support trust administration, including accountings and beneficiary communications Maintain organized client files and manage deadlines across multiple matters Qualifications: 4+ years of trust & estates paralegal experience within a law firm Strong experience supporting estate administration and planning matters Gift/estate tax experience strongly preferred Familiarity with probate filings and court procedures in Illinois High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred Additional Information Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 184 hours a year, 13 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave. PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
