This internship provides hands-on experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, automation, and cross-functional problem-solving. The selected candidate will work closely with engineers and production personnel to develop practical solutions that support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.Job Description:Design tooling components used in powder compaction and hot forge manufacturing processes.Create 3D models, engineering drawings, and prints for tooling, gaging, fixtures, and related production equipment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions that improve manufacturing processes, quality, and productivity.Troubleshoot tooling and production issues alongside engineering and manufacturing team members.Support automation projects by assisting in the design and implementation of mechanical systems and components.Participate in engineering reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement activities.Maintain engineering documentation and update drawings as needed.Follow established safety, quality, and engineering standards.Other duties as assignedRequired Skills and EducationCurrently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology, with an anticipated graduation date of 2028.Experience using CAD software such as Creo Parametric, Autodesk Inventor, or SolidWorks.Basic understanding of GD&T concepts and blueprint readingBasic understanding in Microsoft Office programsAbout Dauch:Dauch Corporation is a premier Driveline and Metal Forming supplier serving the global automotive industry with a powertrain-agnostic product portfolio that supports electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles.
