Bartender Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome each guest and guest according to company standards, anticipate and meet the service needs of guests, and thank them with genuine appreciation.

• A bartender assistant is an essential member of a bar team that supports the bartenders and ensures smooth operation during service.

• Bartender assistants are responsible for replenishing the bar with liquors, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, and other supplies during their shift. This ensures that the bartenders have everything they need to efficiently serve customers.

• Bartender assistants keep the bar area clean and organized. This includes cleaning counters, cleaning glassware, and maintaining cleanliness in storage areas.

• Responsible for cleaning spills and ensuring that the bar is presentable at all times.

• Transport supplies to the bar preparation area. Wash dirty glassware. Remove dirty utensils from the top of the bar and from tables and place them in the designated area.

• Bartender assistants assist bartenders during busy periods by bringing ingredients, preparing garnishes, and helping to serve drinks.

• Bartender assistants ensure that bar equipment, such as blenders, ice machines, and glassware, is clean and in working order.

• Bartender assistants must comply with all relevant health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.

• Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs.

• At the end of each closing shift, secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas. Complete closing tasks.

• Prepare daily shopping list to maintain a healthy inventory level as indicated by the manager.

• Follow all company policies and procedures, safety and security; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager; and complete safety training and certifications.

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to achieve common goals.

• Ensure compliance with expectations and quality standards.

• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Hospitality oriented.
• Able to handle difficult situations effectively.
• Able to work quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Technical knowledge and experience in beverages.
• Organized disposition.
• Must possess good communication skills in Spanish and English.
